Today’s challenge was going to be to dance hip hop with Jennifer Gilardi (Hip Hop Dance Party, dvd), and you can certainly still do that ~ it’s super fun and your kids will have fun. As for me, I’m changing my plan today. Today, I’m going to go for a walk in the fresh air and do a few yoga poses.
Why, you say??
Well, because I have a headache and I’m stressed, so I need to re-center myself. The fact that I need this, brings me to an important point that I wanted to share with you all. I know that I stress that it’s important to have a health and fitness plan, and it is, but it is also important to be flexible and to listen to your body when it’s telling you something.
Switch gears sometimes, if you have to. It’s okay and actually beneficially to respect your body enough to give it what it needs at that point. My head and my heart do not need to dance today and that’s okay. I’m going to give it what it needs.
My changed plan:
- Leisurely restorative walk in the fresh cool air for at least 20 minutes
- Then come home to do these 6 yoga poses designed to help alleviate headaches from FitSugar (Boy, I hope they work!)
