How was that walk/jog for you yesterday? I thought it was energizing!
Today is all about planks and squats. We’re doing the planks because it works your core muscles (in addition to your arms, shoulders, legs and buttocks). Also, on the menu today are plyometric squats. Squats work the large muscle groups in your legs, which brings your heart rate up to work your heart. Add in the plyometrics and you will definitely feel it!
Here’s the workout:
- 3 sets of 10 side planks
Start in plank position ~ Push to the side ~ Back to plank ~ then to the other side
- 3 sets of 12 plyo squats ~ Perform a regular squat, then as you’re coming out of the squat ~ jump ~ then land and come right back down into a squat.
Bonus challenge today is to do 20 minutes of heart pumping dance. Woot! I’m going to do some hip-hop with Jennifer Gilardi. My fave!
