Meditation and yoga, for me, aren’t religious experiences. I mean, I do feel spiritual and calm and connected to myself and the earth when I practice – but its not religious for me. I think some people shy away from yoga because they think that they are betraying their faith. I think that’s a shame. I really believe that yoga and meditation can benefit everyone who practices.
You just have to find what you’re into. Some practices are very like “ommmmm” and serene – while some are very loose and light with fun music. Find what makes you comfortable. Do the poses and do the meditations but practice them in a way that makes YOU connect or does whatever it is that you want it to do. Its totally individual!
