I made it! A couple of times I thought Jill might actually kill me, but I’m still here and I made it through. Wow. That was an intense 4 weeks.
Let me tell you about week 4 of Ripped in 30. It really wasn’t that bad. I mean it was tough, don’t get me wrong, but it was more doable for me than week 3. Maybe because by week 4, I had gotten stronger ~ maybe because the intensity on the legs was less than in week 3. Maybe a little of both. Jill incorporated some yoga into this week which I found to be a blessing, as I am strong in yoga poses. I probably could’ve upped my weights this week but I didn’t, so if you find yourself at week 4 ~ consider increasing your hand weights by a little bit.
At one point in the dvd in week 4, Jill did the funniest thing ~ I felt like I was right in the room with her when we were 3/4 of the way through the workout and she yells ~ “Are you gonna cry? You wanna cry? Waa Haa Haa…” as she’s wringing her hands in front of her eyes very dramatically. Cracked me up and got me through the rest of the workout.
Overall, the Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 dvd was great. You have 4 weeks ~ 4 different workouts ~ a meal plan that’s simple to follow and all you need is a set of dumbbells. Really, you can’t ask for much more than that. Completely worth my time. I give the dvd a 10 out of 10.
In fact, I will be doing the dvd backwards a couple of times a week just for kicks!
Oh, I almost forgot my body results after completing the 30 days!
I lost 4 lbs
I lost 1/2 inch in my hips
I lost 1 1/2 inches in my waist
The biggest note of all is my muscle tone ~ I can see significant changes when I look in the mirror, all over my body.
Very happy with those results, I must say : )
On to this week
Yesterday I posted a poll ~ you voted ~ and Zumba won by a landslide, so The Fitness Moms’ cardio for the week will be Zumba on dvd! Round of applause ~ YAY! I haven’t tried Zumba yet, but I love to dance and I’m always up for trying new things so I’m excited.
